Give it a Ponder: Ponder Me Application

In recent years, mobile bullying and sexting (sending inappropriate images) has increased among teenagers. To make them aware of the impact of these actions, LG got together with Y&R/VML New York to create the 'Give It A Ponder' campaign, which asked them to stop and think before they acted.

The 'Ponder Me App' took this idea into the digital space with a video chat plugin that allowed users to grow a realistic-looking beard while video chatting with friends.

The app was the first of its kind, combining facial-recognition technology and a video chat effect. In less than 30 seconds, teens could surprise friends with a beard - perfect for pondering.
